Local painters who know Blue Mountains

Reliable painters across Blue Mountains

The Blue Mountains run in a line of towns along the ridge west of Sydney, sitting high enough that the weather turns cooler and wetter than anything down on the coastal plain. A lot of the housing here is old timber, with weatherboard cottages, Federation homes and mountain cabins whose cladding, eaves and verandah posts soak up the damp. That constant moisture is what wears paintwork out, so coatings up here have to be chosen and prepped with the climate in mind.

Cool, wet air brings moss and mould onto shaded south walls, decks and fences, and it slows paint drying right down through the colder months. Plenty of the range is bushfire prone as well, so sound surface preparation and durable exterior coatings do real work, not just cosmetic. We plan the job around the mountain weather rather than fighting it, which keeps the finish sound for longer.

What we do

Painting services across Blue Mountains

One trusted team for the whole job, indoors and out. Tap any service for the full details.

Interior Painting Blue Mountains

Inside mountain homes we repaint living areas, bedrooms and hallways, cutting in neatly around old timber trims and allowing extra drying time in the cooler air.

Exterior Painting Blue Mountains

Exterior work is the big one up here, sealing weatherboard, cladding and eaves against the damp and stripping back paint that cool, wet winters have lifted.

Residential Painting Blue Mountains

Most of our mountain work is on homes, from small weatherboard cottages to larger Federation places, matching heritage colours and giving old timber the preparation it needs.

Commercial & Strata Blue Mountains

For mountain shopfronts, cafes and offices we paint outside trading hours where we can, working around the towns strung along the highway and their foot traffic.

Plastering & Gyprock Blue Mountains

Before painting we patch and set plaster where mountain damp has stained or blown the surface, repairing cornices and cracked walls in older timber-framed homes.

Spray Painting Blue Mountains

For large exteriors, fences and roofs we spray for an even coat, masking off carefully so overspray never drifts onto the bush blocks common up here.

Pressure Cleaning Blue Mountains

We pressure wash first to strip moss, mould and grime off shaded walls, decks and paths before any coating goes on damp mountain timber.

Fence Painting Blue Mountains

Timber fences, decks and verandahs take the worst of the mountain weather, so we clean them back and reseal or varnish to hold off the damp.

Good to know

Blue Mountains painting questions

We work right along the mountains line, from the lower towns like Glenbrook, Blaxland, Warrimoo and Springwood up through Faulconbridge, Hazelbrook, Lawson and Wentworth Falls. Higher up we cover Leura, Katoomba, Medlow Bath, Blackheath and Mount Victoria, along with pockets like Winmalee, Yellow Rock and Hawkesbury Heights. If you are on or near the ridge, give us a call and we will let you know.

Sitting up at altitude, the mountains are cooler and wetter than Sydney, so moss and mould take hold on shaded walls, decks and fences, and paint lifts sooner off timber. We wash and treat those surfaces first, let them dry properly, then use coatings suited to damp conditions. Good preparation on old weatherboard and cladding is what helps the finish last up here.

Yes. We hold NSW Licence 495198C and we are fully licensed and insured, and we are Dulux Accredited. You are welcome to check the licence before we start on your place.

Quotes are free and done on site, because the price depends on the size of your home, the state of the timber and how much preparation the damp has left behind. We come out, look over the job and give you a clear breakdown with no hidden costs. Every home in the mountains is a bit different, so we price each one on what it actually needs.

Yes, that is a big part of mountain work. Decks, verandahs, cladding and eaves cop the damp and the cold, so we clean them back, sand where needed and reseal, repaint or varnish depending on the timber. Keeping those surfaces coated is what stops the wet getting into the grain.

Exterior work is easier in the drier, warmer months, and through winter the cold and damp slow drying, so we allow more time between coats and keep an eye on the forecast. Interior work we can carry on with almost any time of year. We are open seven days including late evenings, so get in touch and we will let you know the earliest we can get to you.
