Local painters who know Blue Mountains
Reliable painters across Blue Mountains
The Blue Mountains run in a line of towns along the ridge west of Sydney, sitting high enough that the weather turns cooler and wetter than anything down on the coastal plain. A lot of the housing here is old timber, with weatherboard cottages, Federation homes and mountain cabins whose cladding, eaves and verandah posts soak up the damp. That constant moisture is what wears paintwork out, so coatings up here have to be chosen and prepped with the climate in mind.
Cool, wet air brings moss and mould onto shaded south walls, decks and fences, and it slows paint drying right down through the colder months. Plenty of the range is bushfire prone as well, so sound surface preparation and durable exterior coatings do real work, not just cosmetic. We plan the job around the mountain weather rather than fighting it, which keeps the finish sound for longer.

Blue Mountains painting questions
We work right along the mountains line, from the lower towns like Glenbrook, Blaxland, Warrimoo and Springwood up through Faulconbridge, Hazelbrook, Lawson and Wentworth Falls. Higher up we cover Leura, Katoomba, Medlow Bath, Blackheath and Mount Victoria, along with pockets like Winmalee, Yellow Rock and Hawkesbury Heights. If you are on or near the ridge, give us a call and we will let you know.
Sitting up at altitude, the mountains are cooler and wetter than Sydney, so moss and mould take hold on shaded walls, decks and fences, and paint lifts sooner off timber. We wash and treat those surfaces first, let them dry properly, then use coatings suited to damp conditions. Good preparation on old weatherboard and cladding is what helps the finish last up here.
Yes. We hold NSW Licence 495198C and we are fully licensed and insured, and we are Dulux Accredited. You are welcome to check the licence before we start on your place.
Quotes are free and done on site, because the price depends on the size of your home, the state of the timber and how much preparation the damp has left behind. We come out, look over the job and give you a clear breakdown with no hidden costs. Every home in the mountains is a bit different, so we price each one on what it actually needs.
Yes, that is a big part of mountain work. Decks, verandahs, cladding and eaves cop the damp and the cold, so we clean them back, sand where needed and reseal, repaint or varnish depending on the timber. Keeping those surfaces coated is what stops the wet getting into the grain.
Exterior work is easier in the drier, warmer months, and through winter the cold and damp slow drying, so we allow more time between coats and keep an eye on the forecast. Interior work we can carry on with almost any time of year. We are open seven days including late evenings, so get in touch and we will let you know the earliest we can get to you.
